mcuchallenge
Our blog is for all the people who want to see great Marvel content that is made every day and for those who make that content. We provide monthly prompts to spark the creativity, we support content creators and bring their amazing stuff to your dash. Tracking #mcuchallenge for MCU-related creations and #mcuchallengefilled for our prompts fills.

Rules/F.A.Q.

What do I do to participate?

Every month, there is a post with the new prompt - a word or a short phrase meant to spark your creativity.
When you fill the prompt, post it with the mention (@mcuchallenge) and the tag #mcuchallengefilled. The prompt can be filled any time starting from the moment it is posted.

What kind of creations can I make to fill the prompt?

Any visual - gifs, fanart, edits (graphics, manips, etc.)

Can I write a fic?

At present we are not taking fics as prompt fills. We love and respect ficwriters, but reading a fic to make sure it actually is a text complying with the rules takes time that we, unfortunately, don’t have. If you are a writer and would like to participate or a reader wishing we’d take fics as well, drop us an ask. If we see great interest in this being changed, we’ll see what we can do.

What sources can I use?

MCU movies, Disney+ Marvel shows, interviews with cast and crew, other videos of actors e.g. from premieres or other public appearances, from Instagram, etc. - just NOT from their other movies*
*unless it’s edited to imply this is the MCU character. Exception can also be made for parallel sets, if it fits the prompt in a quite obvious manner.

*Does this include content such as Netflix shows and X-Men films?
No, currently those are not on our list.
upd. Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy and Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man movies are added to the list - their stories were included in No Way Home, so they became part of the MCU

Can I fill the prompt more than once?

Yes, of course. There’s no limit.

You also track #mcuchallenge, what can I tag you in?

Same stuff as for the challenge (see above), only it doesn’t have to be prompt-related.

I want to look at prompt fills specifically, how can I find them?

We’ll tag all our reblogs with filled prompts #mcuchallengefilled, so they will be easily accessible, and for each month’s prompt we’ll have its own tag. Also as we go forward all the prompts we’ll have will be listed here, and this page will have links to their fills.

I have a suggestion for a future prompt, do you take them?

You can send your ideas to us in an ask. We’ll keep the suggestions we receive in mind when deciding on a new prompt. If we see a special demand for some particular topic, we’ll be sure to add it to our list.

Have any other questions or suggestions? Our askbox is open! (Alternatively, if you want to send something that an ask isn’t good for, you can send it via submissions.)
