I'm curious. How did Mordecai and Augustine meet and what prompted their current situationship?
Oh yeah. I wanted to make a comic about this, but with my current schedule and the fact I’m still stuck doing the current one 3 months later, I’ll just tell y'all
Augustine works for a railyard (specifically ones his in-laws, the Harlows, own) as a ledgerboy and also just to keep inventory of everything that’s being shipped through their company.
At some point, Augustine starts noticing weird numbers and inconsistencies between the wagons and the notes and bringing them up to his manager prompts him to realize the manager’s been smuggling booze under the Harlow’s noses and into St. Louis for the Lackadaisy, and he’s sent to go work with their own bookkeep, Mordecai, and the rest is sweet, sweet history.
Decided to draw the ending bit of Aug and Mord’s story….
No, not really. April fools! This never happens in the canon.
