William Wians
William Wians writes on issues in ancient philosophy. He has published on Aristotle, Plato, Homer, and Greek tragedy. He has published two edited collections on Logos and Muthos: Philosophical Essays on Greek Philosophy and Literature, and a co-edited collection with Ron Polansky on Reading Aristotle. Current projects include Imitating Socrates, a book-length study of Socrates as exemplar on the one hand and inimitable figure on the other, and two co-edited collections: Philosophers in the Tragic Age of the Greeks (with Rose Cherubin) and Materia Philosophiae: Material Dimensions of Ancient Philosophy (with Robert Hahn).
