- User:Drbogdan: Crosswiki selfpromotion. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 14:59, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep This is the user page of someone with tens of thousands of edits, and well within the bounds of what user pages of established users can contain. * Pppery * it has begun 15:32, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Well, I have just tried it. BTW: the above mentioned edits caused a lot of headache to en.wiki contributors and so he has been recently blocked there indefinitely. Now it seems that crosswiki selfpromotion, especially in various smaller projects, became quite a major task for him. In some of these projects his selfpromotional contributions outnumber all other contributions of his several times. Unfortunately, deleting his selfpromotional user page locally does not solve anything, as the self-promotion pops there up again from Meta. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 19:23, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Local projects that object to this appearing may create and protect a blank local user page. — xaosflux Talk 23:22, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- That's at least not allowed on zhwiki, as such creation will only result Jimmy-bot's speedy deletion without warning. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 16:41, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- If zhwiki chooses to bind itself to Meta that way then it's its loss. * Pppery * it has begun 17:00, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm sure they can find plenty of ways around that if they want to. — xaosflux Talk 09:03, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

- Besides, the discussion of the block request at English Wikipedia shows that persistent self-promotion was one of the reasons leading to his indefblock there. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 21:41, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep – I'm with Pppery on this one. It's not only the userpage of someone who has 98,383 global edits, but also there isn't anything inherently problematic with this user page. Wikipedia policy on this is irrelevant and that's quite frankly not Meta's hose on this. SHB2000 (t • c) 07:57, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep per SHB2000 and Pppery. TenWhile6 17:18, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep per SHB2000. Wüstenspringmaus talk 10:47, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

- Delete This is the self-promotion of someone with several ten-thousands of SOA behaviors which can easily let everybody judge it as someone's moe moe duck. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 16:46, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, what? And "SOA" is a dead link. * Pppery * it has begun 16:59, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep Why does this need to keep being stated: Enwiki is not the boss of Meta; more often it’s the other way round, and in cases like this it’s like comparing apples to oranges. A user being blocked there has zero bearing on their presence here. Dronebogus (talk) 14:35, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
Kept. I was going to leave this to someone else since I'd voted here, but since it's been left for a few days now, I'm closing this as kept given the overwhelming consensus to keep. --SHB2000 (t • c) 03:16, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
Templates

- Template:Other languages/Template:Main Page
- and all translation subpages.
Doesn't seem to be in use after MF-Warburg converted Main Page to use the translate extension. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 10:49, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Redirect Template:Main Page -> Main Page, Template:Main Page/en -> Main Page/en, etc. * Pppery * it has begun 15:09, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
Categories
[edit]Submit your category deletion request at the bottom of this section.
- Category:User styles - pointless relic category containing only obsolete pages, all useful content is on MediaWiki.org. * Pppery * it has begun 03:12, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Category:Page versions - amalgamation of unrelated stuff that isn't really a useful category anymore. * Pppery * it has begun 03:12, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Category:Reader handbook, Category:Editor handbook - These category layers are pretty much obsolete following the migration of most help pages to MediaWiki.org. The few help pages that stay on Meta can be in Category:MediaWiki handbook or one of its other subcategories directly. * Pppery * it has begun 03:12, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Category:TL MediaWiki help - another part of the legacy help page system now replaced by MediaWiki.org. * Pppery * it has begun 17:52, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
