Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria/Meetup May 2016
The monthly Meetup for May 2016 of the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria was held on the 27 May 2016 at the Goethe-Institut (GI) in Lagos at Catholic Mission St within the Brazilian quarters, right in the center of the Lagos business district. The event for the month of May coincided with the Children's Day. In Partnership with GI and Ndidi's Team a workshop on Creative Writing was presented. The main highlight of the meetup was the launching of Wiki Loves Women's project in Lagos, Nigeria. In attendace were female students of selected secondary schools in the state.

[edit]Aside the above mentioned agenda, the community used the meetup to launch Wiki Loves Women in Lagos. The User group hosted selected female children from secondary schools in Lagos State. Over 15 new members joined the community as a result of the event.
