• oscar wasn’t that clingy until he met you
• like a real cat, oscar was selective about who he trusted and well, that was really only lando, logan, fred & his family
• but even with them, he was nowhere near as clingy as he was with you
• when he first meets you, he can’t help but be drawn to you, his not manifested cat ears pricking up in invisible excitement
• you, meanwhile, see a cute guy who’s very clearly awed by you and realise… fuck, you kinda might have some feelings here
• oscar and you get close insanely quickly, and before long, he’s confessing the truth about his cat nature to you as well as his very obvious romantic feelings
• you’re so excited when oscar shifts in front of you and you instantly pick him up, cuddling him into your chest
• oscar loves that you do this and says as much when he’s back to being in his human form
• and this is finally when he lets his inhibitions go
• boy is clinging to you like it’s nobody’s business
• everywhere you go, oscar can be seen too
• garage? he’s there
• driver’s room? he’s smushed into your side
• hospitality centre? he’s on your lap, dozing peacefully

• and with his shifting abilities, oscar causes a lot of mischief, purely on accident, when he tries to find you

• you chuckled and rescued the poor kitty, reassuring the f2 driver that it was okay, the cat was just oscar
• it becomes routine that, before every race, a bunch of engineers have to check both logan and lando’s mclaren cars and your ferrari car for oscar before letting you or any rookies get in
• despite this, oscar has learned his lesson, and doesn’t climb into your car ever again
• thanks to his shifting abilities, oscar is nimble as hell so he’s always able to creep out to parc ferme or the track whenever he wants
• he’s small and fast enough that he’s able to dodge things
• the first time you had a car and barrier destroying crash, oscar did not even hesitate
• he shifted into his cat form and bolted from the garage, your team calling after him in vain attempts to get him to stop
• nothing was stopping him until he got to you
• he sprinted and sprinted before arriving at the crash site, quickly jumping into the cockpit with you
• you sighed when you saw him and lifted him into your injured arm, using the other one and the marshals to help you get out
• they tried to take oscar from you and he hissed, slashing out at any marshals that got too close
• the marshals only backed off when you winced and begged them to stop, that you needed him
• you were fine, nothing was broken, but oscar stayed glued to your side in human form until the next race weekend started, too afraid something would happen if he turned his back
• if you think logan & lando aren’t teasing him about this, you’re very wrong
• oscar usually just retorts by poking fun at their still undiscussed feelings for one another

• luke was fascinated by you
• and really, outside of cars and their mechanics, not a lot fascinated luke
• but you did
• you weren’t always there, you see
• it was almost guaranteed that you’d be gone for a handful of days across the year, thursdays and fridays
• sometimes even mondays
• and luke was so curious as to why
• and then he learns the truth one saturday, the tv showing… you
• he’d put the formula 3 on randomly, something to pass his time home alone whilst he waited for the f2 and the f1 to come on
• but there you were, squinting against the bright sunshine of imola as you waited for your interview
• luke watched intensely, listening to you talk about the race and how well it had gone and it hits luke almost instantly
• you won the race
• you, who had started in sixteenth, who’d had shit luck all weekend, had won the fucking sprint race
• luke was shocked
• he watched the podium after that, delighting in how carefree and happy you looked on the podium
• the champagne glistening on your skin as you pulled your fellow drivers in close, the smile on your face, the trophy you clenched tightly within your fist
• all of it made luke’s head spin
• he knew he was going to have to watch the feature race tomorrow
• and he’d have to find a way to talk to you at school because you were just… so cool
• you rock up on tuesday, having taken the monday to recover from the jetlag, and are immediately ambushed by luke
• unlike most people, you didn’t care about making connections or friends at your school - your racing was your priority
• but luke was someone you couldn’t deny you found attractive and intriguing
• so when he approaches you, you’re a bit stunned, especially when he starts rambling about how charming you are and how he saw you in f3 this weekend and found you so inspiring
• this leads to a whole conversation about formula racing and the steps you were taking to get into f1, something that luke soaks up like a sponge
• he also wanted to get to f1, not as a driver, but an engineer
• you immediately offer to get him in contact with your f3 team and luke is completely fucking stunned by your generosity
• when he’s unable to sleep that night, he has a shocking realisation
• he’s falling for you
• and he’s falling hard

• you were small and cuddly, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed (literally)
• most people steer clear of him, whilst they all clamour for attention from you
• you two made an odd and unexpected pair, that was for sure
• and it’s because of those assumptions that no one realises you two are together at first
• the truth comes out when you get injured one day
• you’d been chasing some of your fellow fox hybrids around and one of them had tripped you, sending you careering into a rather large patch of nettles
• it was an accident, you knew that much, so you got up and shakily limped back into the clan house, brushing off your friend’s many apologies
• you’re just about to head for the doctor when the doorway is full, kevin’s icy steam filling your lungs
• he spots you instantly, and he doesn’t hesitate, scooping you up into his arms and carrying you from the room
• the members of your clan who were in the kitchen all exchange odd looks
• why had he done that? why had you let him?!
• you hadn’t even thought about it, to be honest
• many a night spent curled up in his arms after slipping out of your room and creeping to his had softened you to his strong grip
• therefore, when he snatched you up, you didn’t think anything of it, just nuzzled in close and whimpered with each itchy prickle along your arms and legs
• kevin was going to crumble the bed underneath you if he wasn’t careful, he was gripping the frame too sharply, trying to tether his mind to his body and to the earth
• but the doctor was taking ages to sort you out and your teary eyes were making his heart break over and over again with every single second that passed
• you reached out for his touch and he gave it, clasping your hand with both of his, a soft smile creeping onto his face as he tried to soothe you
• once the doctor had cleared you up, kevin escorted you back to the kitchen, surprise crossing his face when he saw the majority of the clan members crammed into the tiny room
• you knew was what happening, what they wanted, so you quickly and quietly explain that you and kevin are together and you’re very happy with him
• kevin rumbles happily at that, tugging you back against his chest
• the clan all exchange confused looks before your closest friend, the one you considered a brother, held his hand out
• “pay up, bitches”
• you couldn’t help but laugh at that, your laughter rattling through kevin’s stoic icy frame
