To me, all of my art pieces feel as though someone scrubbed all of the emotional contents out of a girl’s brain and put the mess onto a canvas. I do feel as though I am the girl in question.
My name is Morgan "Mo" Beamon. I grew up in an Illinois suburb but am a city girl at heart. I make emotionally driven art, through painting mainly with some other various mediums, such as video and collage. I focus on abstraction and maximalism being a vessel for my art, but am also trying to explore other styles.
I am currently enrolled at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, getting my BFA in Studio with an emphasis in Painting and Performance.
