Cut a hole in the top of a pumpkin, holding the knife at an out ward angle so the cut will be slightly larger towards the outside and smaller on the inside, a little smaller than the diameter of the top of the butternut squash tea light end. (small shorter wider pumpkins work best) Scoop out the insides of the pumpkin, scraping the walls well. Test for fit. If the hole is too small cut it bigger, but only very small portions at a time.
