Sarah Heard ✨ on Instagram: "My most asked questions answered: 1. The panelling is Elephant’s Breath by Farrow and Ball in Matt emulsion 2. We used Cheshire Mouldings from Wickes - 21x8 £6 3. The dado is 1 meter from the floor 4. I measured them by calculating the length of the wall minus the gap and dividing it by the number of panels 5. The dado is from Wickes £38 in a four pack - we used 2 packs 6. The top wall is painted in Strong White by Farrow and Ball in matt emulsion 7. I chose a 8cm gap from dado, skirting and architrave 8. Sophie Higgs on Instagram: "Stairs Panelling🤍 A few tips on how we carried the panelling in our hallway up the stairs. Swipe along to see ➡️ To get the line for the dado rail on the stairs we put wall tacks at the bottom and top of the stairs, the height we wanted the dado rail 1000mm from the floor. Then we got a piece of string, coloured it one side with blue chalk, held the string tight on top of the tacks, (chalk side facing the wall with one person holding it at the bottom of the stairs and one person at the top. You’ll then have a straight chalk line all the way down the stairs wall to attach the dado to. Very hi-tech hey?! 🤣 It would be much easier with a laser level but we don’t have one!
