Cultures Bulletin Board, went with our social studies unit...the students interviewed a relative about their heritage, added pictures, and I marked all the countries they were from on the map

Our World Connections - get the class to identify a friend/relative etc each who lives abroad. Mark them on a map as shown

We talk about time zones & U.S. geography in 5th grade social studies, so I created this interactive bulletin board. I laminated the blue square, so I can write a name of a different state or city on it. Scholars can then locate the place on the map, & set the correct time on the blue clock based on what time zone that place is in.
