Comment HIDDEN DOOR 🚪 for the links to the wood planks and magnetic latch I used. Can you make a hidden/jib door using your current interior door? Yes, you can. Last week I found myself staring at this door in our kitchen. I’ve had this idea in my head for years and I am finally trying it. I know there are tutorials out there on how to build a ‘hidden door’ but I didn’t want to build one from scratch, instead I wanted to use what I have and make this idea work. Brooke and Brice on Instagram: "Ready for your louvered door to GLOW UP?

It’s time to say goodbye to unsightly louvered doors — this project proves that functionality can be beautiful. We transformed a basic door into a stunning feature piece. This is the perfect way to hide a mechanical closet and you can do it too!

Here’s what we did:
1. Removed the old door
2. Cut out the horizontal slats on the door (leaving only the frame and center horizontal piece)
3. Painted the door black
4. Added black window screen material in the open sections of the door (for contrast, to conceal the mechanical units and to stay consistent with the walls we painted black on each side of the door)
5. Cladded it with 1x2” walnut strips for a sleek finish

Pro Tip: Consider the material thickness when cladding Hvac Door Ideas, Mechanical Closet, Build Door, Conceal Door, Louvered Door, Louvered Doors, Hiding Ugly, Black Window, Door Black
