ASSESSMENT. The CORE Phonics Survey is an excellent assessment tool that directly assess a student's phonics knowledge. This is an excellent diagnostic assessment that allows teachers to plan instruction for students based on their knowledge of phonics. The survey begins with letter sounds and progresses to multisyllabic words.
