They lied to you

Pretty much. Because the way i see it is i would much rather be hurt by honesty. Know where i stand. Have accurate information to be able to make my own decision. That way neither if us is wasting our time. Lying robs me of my right to decide for myself.

Some people are liars. Yes, people will lie to you. People will lie on you. Lying is a maladaptive fear based response to perceived consequences. Children lie to avoid punishment or disappointing someone. Adults lie for the same reasons...and to manipulate situations so they can control them.
