Third Season of 'Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.' Broadcast Delayed

In 2011, Wataru Watari and Ponkan 8 launched the light novel series and ended with a total of 14 volumes in November last year. Brain's Base adapted the novel into a 13-episode TV anime, followed by feel.'s 13-episode sequel.

Not every anime is done by the time it starts airing. On an average 13 episode anime, the studios will usually have about 3 or 4 or maybe 5 episodes done. The rest is still being drawn or animated. Some anime do tend to get finished by the time it starts airing, like you said, Relife.
Btw, ReLife wasn't leaked. They've always planned on releasing the whole series on that website (can't remember the name); probably because of some contract agreement. Same thing happened with RikeKoi. They released the whole series in 1 day on Amazon but aired weekly on Japanese TV.
Ahh... OK, thanks for the explanation.

Can anyone explain how the f*ck this damn virus led to delay of the ALREADY DRAWED
anime? I'm OK with RE ZERO, but this title got delayed just 2 days before the release. I remember leak of the ReLife in 2016, whole season was leaken in just 2 days, so it means that this title was completely ready even before date of leak. Therefore something tells me that the 3rd season of OreGairu was completely ready for broadcast to... But maybe I'm wrong. That's why I'm asking what's wrong now.

This wouldn't have happened if the anime industry went full digital allowing everybody to work from home.. Maybe they'll do it now?
you can't record seiyuu's voice acting from their home , you need specific environment and instruments for that, so you can't make anime fully " from home" anyway.

It does suck because me and many others were anticipating for the third season but I think most people can agree that during this pandemic, everybody should be safe and be taking care of themselves more.

Least that's less worry about more potential COVID-19 victims though. I'd feel pretty shitty having the staff be at risk just because I wanna see more Hachiman
