April 22, 2022... finally found an anime to take the top place on my favorites list, which was rightfully occupied by one of the GOATed animes of all time, Perfect Blue, for a very long time

You can see the inspiration from Akira and it's been taken to a whole league of its own

shonen not only for the sake of market (unlike AOT) but it nicely deals with the concept of putting so much responsibility on the shoulders of some kids

Adrenaline rush... tests the limits of anime as an art form

One fun ride with several twists and turns and a perfect balance of drama

epic shit on a grandiose scale. a lot of extra mind games and adrenaline rush moments really takes it to a different level

you know sorrow? yeah, this is it. 'Murica!

refreshing detective stuff and a huge turning point in the show

releasing all the built-up tension for years, in a compelling way

fighting the concept of fate... with really interesting characters

parallelism may be a very cliche technique for screenplays of live action films but it's good to see anime nerds being introduced to it in a good way

Evangelion but comedy

a lot of inspirations from berserk and "I didn't know I wanted this until I got it."

one of the bery few save mommy nature themes films you'll like if you're tired of that shit already

Kurosawa and Vagabond vibes

Madhouse knows their sh¡t... it picks fun at many classic anime tropes in a very tasteful manner which is funny and satisfying to watch as someone who don't like those repetitive tropes

wanna get someone, who watches live action series (like GOT) but not anime (because of the bad impression of it in general) but used to watch anime as a little kid? show them this.

if u loved anime as a child then this is for u 'cause it has everything from our childhood anime and goes up to 11 also comes with elite class production quality to match your adult taste buds and get u scratching you head like "how the f did they pull this off"

talk about tasteful comedy that also makes fun of other animes that are kinda in the similar genre.

classic af. great story. as it's episodic it's good as a time-pass anime that u watch every day while having lunch or something

incel-fest but has a sense of tastefulnes

good for a shonen, with a good story but still isn't genre defying or anything... still, pretty good childish action comedy

if you've read the manga and didn't reaaally like the '97 one's animation and always wanted to to see (some parts of) the manga just decently animated then this is it for you

that stupid fcking btch-ss ending 😓... but the rest of it was gold standard anime.

Nice side story of the original masterpiece that is Steins Gate

some girly romance doesn't take much away from the enjoyment of the anime mostly because of the smoooooth animation

More highs and lows than season 1 but the highs are pretty high and gets pretty emotional sometimes

an unexpectedly good movie of a highly popular children's show that likely introduced many of my generation to the mecha genre.

Takes your conventional ecchi comedy formulas adds some interesting initial concept then mixes some good drama with it... overall pretty good.

Better than the first one

You have to already have been a fan to really enjoy this, otherwise, not recommended

just couldn't leave it out even though it turned into the shittiest thing after (probably) episode 15... but upto that point it was one of the greatest things I've ever come across.

that shitty ending! fck!! ruined a masterpiece 😑

haven't watched it fully myself but you can definitely tell that it's peak fiction
