Hunter x Hunter

The remake came up in 2011 and was made with a far bigger budget and with a faster pacing. Though some fans agree the original adaptation is better in terms of aesthetics.
Trigun

Got a Remake in 2023, made in CGI. The animation was of very high quality despite the character re-design, though some fans consider it inferior to the OG adaptation
Boogiepop wa Warawanai

Got a remake in 2023 and in the form of live-action movies from 2012 to 2021. The (currently) airing anime reboot is not getting that much of a positive reception compared to the original anime, though the movies were high praise
Urusei Yatsura

Got a very dazzling remake in 2022, with amazing animation and faithfulness to the source.
Dororo to Hyakkimaru

Got a far more polished adaptation in 2019, with modern animation and faithfulness to the manga. Some fans of the manga call the OG anime from the '60s obsolete, though more Puritans will say otherwise

Got a high-budget, movie-quality adaptation/remake that ran from 2006 to 2013. Most agree that said remake is the definitive version.
Shaman King

Got a very polished remake in 2006, which on its own was a sequel to a live-action movie from 2000. Beautifully animated but highly unfaithful, to the point they are the same show only in name

Got a remake in 2022, that did little to no traction however
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon

The first arc of the series got a remake in 2014. Negative reception was almost universal for the bad animation and unfaithfulness to the source

The fourth arc got a remake in 2021 in the form of two movies. They got a good reception because of the good animation and faithfulness, though some fans think it should have been a TV series rather than a movie

Fullmetal Alchemist

The Second adaptation came up in 2009, this time being a 1:1 of the source. Universally accepted as one of the best shows of all time. There were live-action movies during the 2010s, with very negative reception
Shinseiki Evangelion

Four movies made by the original creator, that re-evaluate the Original show came up from 2008 to 2021. The first two are almost identical copies of the original show, while the latter two change the fundamentals of the story considerably. Fans are mixed about said movies.
Cowboy Bebop

Netflix did a live-action TV series in 2021. It got an extremely negative reception thanks to the poor handling of the source and the negative comments of the actors.
Uchuu Senkan Yamato

The second adaptation came up in 2011, made with a far bigger budget, and roles for the female cast expanded.
Hyakujuu-Ou GoLion

An American reboot by the name of "Voltron: Legendary Defender" (The name the franchise got in the West) came up in 2016. It was faithful to the source up to a point and had far better production values. The show was hailed in its first seasons and got a very negative reception in the later seasons.
Devilman: Tanjou-hen

The second adaptation came up in 2018, which was a more faithful, though expanded version of the original masterpiece by Go Nagai. It got its fair share of praise, though more passionate fans will tell you the original 80s OVA was a better adaptation.
Devilman: Yochou Sirene-hen

The second OVA of the 80s handles half of the story, see it as the second act. Episodes 3 - 6 of the 2018 remake cover this part of the story, though action enthusiasts will tell you the original OVA had better action choreography
Osomatsu-kun

Got a Remake/soft sequel in 2015. Far more cynical and based on referential humor compared to the original '60s comedy, still liked by the fandom and critics alike.
Kagaku Ninja-tai Gatchaman

Koukaku Kidoutai

The movie got a flashier, big-name remake in the form of a Hollywood movie in 2017. Highly disliked by fans and critics alike, with one considering racist the whitewashing of the main heroine and the latter seeing it as an insult to the original story's themes.
Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu

Got a remake in 2018, with far cleaner animation and modern character designs. Reception was mixed
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars

The final arc got is remake in 2023, this time with high-budget animation and big names attached to the production. Is still not available in the west, so I can't give you the reception so far
Kenpuu Denki Berserk

The Golden Age arc was remade in the form of movies during the 2010s. The reception was mixed and is considered kind of a letdown aesthetically wise, though not as bad as the sequel series that got universally hated
Gegege no Kitarou (1968)

Digimon Adventure

Hori-san to Miyamura-kun

An adaptation of the 4-koma manga, that would eventually get a regular manga reboot. These OVAs took almost a decade to finish, only covered half the story, and were in oblivion once the 2021 adaptation came up.
Death Note

Death Note has had many adaptations through the Years. The Japanese movies came up alongside the original anime so they don't count as remakes. The 2017 Netflix movie does count as it was advertised as one and was universally hated.
Ashita no Joe

it got a Futuristic Reboot in 2018 under the name of "Megalo Box", which featured high production values and very artsy cinematography. Reception was positive though fans of the original show were displeased by its unfaithfulness

Got a live-action adaptation this year by Netflix, which has been praised for its impressive production values, acting, soundtrack, and faithfulness (and according to some sources) improvements of the original. The earlier arcs also got remakes in the form of anime movies during the late 2010s.
