Michiko is one of the most mesmerising characters I’ve ever seen— she’s a cool, independent and revenge-driven convict. She’s presumably Afro-Latina, as the story is set in South America.

Absolutely earth shattering series that made me cry. Amazing media at the cost of my sanity.

Nagatoro is a first-year high school student who is, frankly, just an ass. She teases and bullies some guy (Naoto) and he likes it…? And SHE likes it…?

Incredibly slay. Love the series.

Momo is a high school student with tan skin and bleached hair as a result of her swimming(?). This acts as the cornerstone of a lot of conflict in the series. This drama series has allowed me to experience unexplored heights of anger, but it’s fun and addictive!

Abigail is an iraqi, beautiful and taciturn grifter. The second-in-command of Team Confidence (a group of con-artists).

This is a fun series that offers a plethora of diversity and heists!

Carole is a talented black woman who forms a lovely friendship (or more… 😉) with her band partner, Tuesday. The two strive to make it big from nothing!

This series is set in the future- the cityscape they live in being on Mars itself. Despite this, the series is very familiar, relatable and touching.

Karla is an amazing healer(?) and bully! She is an eccentric and dead-pan dark elf with a penchant for being a menace.

This series feels like a fantasy, slice of life, comedy. It explores the adventures of Karla and Alvin in their ambitious quest to hone is (nonexistent) battle skills!

Lilith a beautiful maid who is suspiciously perfect. A mysterious master of charm, wit, cooking and cleaning. Weirdest of all, she works as a maid for free. The young protagonist, Yuuri, lives in his family mansion with the maid and tries to decipher her (probably evil) intentions.

This initially feels like an uncomfortable ‘romance’, but as I watched it I realised it was an adorable, pure and enjoyable slice of life.

Youko is a high school honour student thrown into a strange new land, forced to fend for herself.

Ok so technically she TURNS brown when transported into a beautiful fantasy realm. Honestly a series that makes me quite nostalgic despite never watching it as a kid. It has lovely world building that I’m very fond of!

Tells the story of Maise in her family’s hotel and some mysterious guests… Gruesomely short episodes, but the art is so cute!

The lovely Kayo only appears from episode 3, but the art style is lovely and refreshingly unique!

Kohaku is such a cute woman! She often cross-dresses alongside her two friends that work at a women-only-staff drag bar.

Absolutely feral with nostalgia over the plot.

Nadia- the main character- is (likely) from africa. She’s a lovely, albeit hot-headed and stubborn young girl with a growing love for a smitten boy, Jean.

The duo chart a heroic adventure around the world!

Sci-fi action isn’t my jam, but…
Quite a diverse group of characters- most notably the human Naomi who is a cute genius, often spying and communicating through her technological creations.

Both the protagonist “Canaan” and antagonist “Alshaya” are sisters from the Middle East! Bonus points for Maria’s incredible gayness.

This absolutely doesn’t count— I think she just has brown fur (when she was human she was white???), but it’s easy for me to delude myself into thinking she counts as a brown skinned girl.

Neiru is some spooky lil science baby. She’s intelligent and reserved, but also incredibly loyal to what few friends she can make 🫡

Kinda boring! Michela is one of the main characters that are more mature, apparently she has some romantic feelings for Oliver(?)

Don’t have the brainpower to understand the exposition, but she’s pretty and that’s what matters. 👍🏽

Dorothea is a beautiful brown woman, part of the main cast, and married to Fallon!

She’s so pretty! Also weird energy bordering on incestuous but I’ve decided to be incredibly ignorant of it, thanks.

Tonari Dalton is a young girl encountered in the immortal, Fushi’s, life!

Unsure how I feel about her depiction as a child—! But she is an interesting, hot headed and prideful woman(or girl)????

Tarou/Maria seems to be a wild young immigrant with an “impoverished appearance” that I’m praying to god isn’t the butt of a joke.

Unfortunately too boring for me, but our brown FL is the main love interest of the bland ML!

Hilariously poor reviews, but several brown woman— so I’m willing to power through!

There appear to be several dark/tanned characters which act integral to the plot!
