being attached to a character who is also a real person is uniquely fucked up and i’m not even talking about any of the ways in which you would assume this to be fucked up i mean like you can read a book written at any point in time and even if you are aware of the date, the story will feel on some level present. because it is a closed space you can inhabit when you engage with it. but in this case the character just continues living and changing forever. you will get perfect closure on any given plot thread and be like okay if this ended forever tomorrow i wouldn’t even care because i got everything i needed. but no she will keep living. and because the story is also her life the past will be eternally relevant and referenced forever. even if she starts logging onto a different minecraft server entirely!
