not to be political on main but we should make the moon a national park
Mirrors
The loneliest people
Take the best selfies
But my reflection isn’t me
And I’m in love with this person
to be honest i can’t believe that i’m somehow able to exist in the world. because it’s truly unbelievable
christianity pet peeve
"we're all sinners" "love the sinner, hate the sin" "we deserve god's wrath"
i hated being told that i was inherently worthless in gods eyes. it really destroys your self esteem. it's basically saying 'before you're a human you're evil and deserve to burn in hell!'
so be it. anything to get away from you and your religion
If we were worthless to God, why would he send Christ?
I don't know if you've noticed, but everyone is evil. The men are definitely evil, the handmaids are evil, the feminists are not good people just for being feminists. Narcissism and greed is everywhere. You really can't and shouldn't trust anybody. You have to remain cautious and verify everything.
If the way this universe works is that there is a higher realm to go to (which I think there is), then why wouldn't there be entry requirements? Why wouldn't the heart be judged? Why wouldn't you have to be held accountable for your behaviour?
“Perceptiveness has an air of divination that flatters our vanity more than any other quality of the mind.”
— François de La Rochefoucauld, Moral Reflections
Trying to keep him occupied and not nesty is a full time job
@darthlenaplant in this context it means he’s a very horny bird. Conures don’t really nest build in your typical sense so rather than collecting materials his “nesty” means looking for dark cavities he could potentially crawl in and claim as his nesting zone
It also means sitting his booty down real low and, hm, rubbing his cloaca on surfaces…… or just fluffing up squishing real low like a broody chicken on eggs amongst other horny parrot crimes
Let nothing be called natural In an age of bloody confusion, Ordered disorder, planned caprice, And dehumanized humanity, lest all things Be held unalterable!
- Bertolt Brecht
