Everyone overrates the idea of a piece of art being “anticapitalist”. both the people that think Apple TV could possibly have something smart to say and the people that think Apple TV would never ever have something smart to say. The bare truth is that “anti capitalist” is not politically coherent but it’s also a real cry of desperation from artists that live in capitalism and have feelings about it.
Again I’m thinking about my band, which has “anticapitalist” themes because the way the world works fucking sickens me. Some very annoying radlib types would say this is a world shaking act of revolution unto itself. Some very annoying Mao types would say that this is a worthless act of petty individualism. neither of these strains of thought are germane to my truth, that this is kind of the inevitable result of someone with an intellect and a lot of things to say being forced to express herself under conditions of duress.
Other people already said it but sending immigrants to El Salvador is not a deportation but a kidnapping. Deportation is sending a person to their country of origin. This is something worse.
And think about what happens to these people who have no El Salvador citizenship once they arrive there and how they cannot leave El Salvador. First off, the US and El Salvador governments have to have an agreement otherwise El Salvador would not accept these people. Secondly, they are ending up in literal "Mega-Prisons" to do God knows what. They can't leave the country even if they were free since they likely have no documentation/money after being snatched up from their homes in the US. They are deporting people with no criminal record and this is really just the definition of human trafficking.
So apparently they took orcs out of the new Monster Manual, and I get their reasoning. They’re in the Player’s Handbook now, and none of the others from that book, like elves or dragonborn, are in the Monster Manual.
But I think this was a mistake. There was actually another solution, something that literally every other edition of the game did. You want to be a return to the old ways, don’t you, 5e? I know you do you nasty little freak. So here’s what you should have done:
Put the other ones back in the Monster Manual.
