Always get the itemized list, babes. ALWAYS.

Not just for medical either. Ever got smacked with a huge ass fee for “damages” when you move out of an apartment that not just eats your security deposit but tries to take an arm and a leg as well.

Ask for the itemized list, you will be surprised how fast they come back with a “huh, that’s weird, I can’t seem to find where these damages are coming from” and let that shit go.

People WILL try to screw you on all kinds of routine and mundane shit. Don’t let them.

Mark Waid and a Dream Team of Artists Chronicle the New History of the DC Universe

image

DC Comics has announced the upcoming release of the New History of the DC Universe, a four-issue series written by Mark Waid, with art by Jerry Ordway and Todd Nauck. The first issue hits shelves on Wednesday, June 25, featuring a main cover by Chris Samnee, variant covers by Dan Mora, Ryan Sook, and Mike Cho, a foil variant by Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, and a set of connecting wraparound variants for the series by Scott Koblish.

The first issue of the series will follow Barry Allen (The Flash) as he witnesses the birth of the DC Universe, the rise of the Justice Society, and the dawn of the Golden Age of Heroes. Each issue will showcase a rotating roster of artists as Barry continues his journey through DC’s rich and evolving history.

Here’s what the creative team has to say about the project:

“This is my dream project. It’s a chance to realign all of DC’s sprawling continuity into one master timeline, and to be joined by some of comics’ greatest artists to make it shine. With new information for even longtime fans, plus Easter eggs galore, this series will be an essential read for DC fans.”
Mark Waid

“I’m having an absolute blast with this project. Mark has come up with something cool for me to draw on every page, and it’s been an honor to share art chores with a comics legend like Jerry Ordway. The DC editorial team has coordinated a wealth of deep-dive references for me to draw from, and I’m learning new aspects of DC history I hadn’t known before—and I’ve been reading DC comics for decades!”
Todd Nauck

“As one of the artists who was part of Crisis on Infinite Earths in the 1980s, I am thrilled to be involved in telling the story of this newest DC Universe with Mark and Todd.”
Jerry Ordway

I’m unbelievably excited for this series. Mark Waid knows DC inside and out. I can’t wait! If you need something to tide you over until June, DC recommends checking out History of the DC Universe by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, and The Other History of the DC Universe by John Ridley and Giuseppe Camuncoli. I’d add, the timeline included in Zero Hour: Crisis in Time also offers a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of the DC Universe.
