1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray side

Chevy called this color Tuxedo Black, and it was dropped after 1969 (black Corvettes were not available from the factory again until '77). The finish gleams, but there are signs of crazing at the extremities -- inevitable with older Corvettes. Quality control of the early Stingrays was poor.
