Janelle Sherwick on Instagram: "The carpet glue really put me to the test, but once the concrete prep was done, the 3-step @armorpoxy kit (#gifted) was wonderful to work with. I covered our family room, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom, which was about 1000 square feet in total. I used two 600-square-ft. Armortallic Metallic Epoxy kits, in the color ‘Overcast’ for this. The black primer made me so nervous because I hated the way the floors looked while painting this on, but I was told that the dark color was necessary to provide contrast against the metallic layer. My ultimate plan is to one day replace them completely but until we can save enough $$ this paint does the job! I used @rustoleum marble countertop kit but didn’t attempt to do marble veins because I know myself well enough to know that I wouldn’t like the faux marble look. Then I moved onto flooring using my FAVORITE peel and stick tiles from @wallpops! They were kind enough to gift them to me and to be honest, I fan-girled a bit. They are so high quality while being an affordable price and honestly, I might not even replace the old flooring at all after installing these peel and stick tiles. They used lead in makeup, as an additive in food and wine, in pewter dinnerware, and many other items, including paint. The inexpensive metal was even used in the pipes that transported water throughout the [...]
