Add 6-8 fresh fig leaves in 4 cups of cold water and bring to a boil. Boil for 8 minutes and then remove the leaves and serve the tea.

You can also dry the fresh leaves for later use. Clean the freshly picked leaves and pat dry. Place on a baking sheet and dry in the oven at 200°F for 30 minutes. Break the dried leaves into small pieces and store them in an airtight container.

Noreen Wasti on Instagram: "fig leaf oil, fig leaf sugar, fig leaf powder, fig leaf everything. if I had a fig tree, I could rule the world. for fig leaf oil, I use a ratio of 1:3 leaves to oil. I like grapeseed oil, but you can use any neutral oil. remove the stems and blanch the leaves for 30 seconds. drain and shock in ice water, then really squeeze out all the water. add the leaves to a blender with the oil and blend until the blender feels warm to the touch, about 2-3 minutes. strain. I think a nut bag gives you the cleanest oil, but a tea towel or coffee filter works well too. store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2-3 weeks. use this gorgeous green hued oil with ice cream, desserts, aioli, cheeses, literally any and all dairy, fold it into cake batter, custards, pastry cream, fish, Fig Leaf Tea, Fish Rice, Ideas Cocina, Fig Leaf, Christmas Food Gifts, Rule The World, Ice Water, Pastry Cream, Fig Leaves
