We both love blocks and color so when Fat Quarter Shop wanted to do a QAL and choose the Piece and Quilt Sampler we were ecstatic. Each month, we will be making an assortment of blocks in varying sizes.I love quilts that look like a puzzle to the untrained eye. Blocks that don’t necessarily show where they start and end.

I’ve been wanting to sew this block since I saw a friend making it at a sewing retreat in 2012. Isn’t that funny? How did it take me this long? The paper piecing pattern I’ve developed for this block can be used to make a braid of any length desired!
