Despite what many pregnant women are told birth prep does not mean kegels! The pelvic floor does not push your baby out during labor-it needs to release and move out of the way! So as we prep for birth we want to make sure we are not only able to access all levels of the pelvis and make space, but we really want to focus on lengthening/relaxing/and releasing tension in our pelvic floor.
