The prosperity of Imperial rule, with an iron fist that extends to all inhabited systems through the galaxy, calls for unified monetization in the form of Imperial credits. But after the fall of the Galactic Empire, many planets revert to a less homogenized system and some, particularly those who make their living in the underworld, refuse payments in the currency on principle.

One of my first tasks on Acolyte was to mess around with Lightsabers, such a chore I know :D Initially we had a different Production Designer who wanted to really explore a very different approach to the design of the sabers, as this was the height of the Republic we decided to look in to old duelling pistols and a more deliberate Baroque style as if each saber was bespoke built for the user. A bacta bomb was a hand-thrown device consisting of a canister that contained a synthetic healing fluid called bacta. Upon impact, the bomb vaporized into a mist that healed those within range. Both the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic used such devices during the Galactic Civil War. These are the Fractured Ashla and Bogan Lightsabers from Star Wars: The Old Republic. After creating the Ancient Force-Imbued Blade, I wanted to continue the evolutionary progression of force user weaponry. As I was concepting, I was imagining how early iterations of lightsabers would look like.
