Clay jar with lid

This handmade jar is made with a white stoneware clay. It’s great for rings, jewelry, small knick-knacks, etc. This piece was thrown on the potter's wheel, carefully trimmed, and brush glazed by hand in multiple layers before being fired a second time for approximately 12 hours. The canister has a glossy forest green finish. This honey pot with oak branches was in my last firing of 2023, and I've been itching to make more lidded jars all spring. I'm carving a batch of 5 this weekend-- swipe to see the one I just finished!
