Description I have been thinking about making shoulder guards out of chainmail with leather reinforcement and this is what I came up with as a test patch. I took a patch of 12.5ga 1/2in rings and wove in saddle strapping. While this is not as flexible as plain chainmail by itself it is still quite flexible.
