Smooth hydrangeas can take the hardest prune of any variety. I cut mine to between 15 -18 inches after we reach full dormancy ( consistently under 32° at night). Because I’ve planted wintergem boxwoods in front of them, they are camouflaged during the winter. I have @provenwinners Incrediballs across my front porch, but there are other smooth varieties to choose from. They can take full sun in zones 6a and lower, but need late afternoon and evening shade in 6b and higher. #hydrangeaqueen #ShareYourGarden #MyGardenThisMonth #HomeAndGarden #HomeAndGardenIG #Garden.ig #MyGardenToday #Gard White Farmhouse With Hydrangeas, Boxwood Hedge With Hydrangea, Front Of House Landscape Ideas Hydrangea, Raised Hydrangea Bed, Split Rail Fence Hydrangeas, Boxwood Trees Landscaping, Knockout Roses And Hydrangeas, Evergreens In Front Of House, Flower Beds In Front Of House Hydrangea
