- Clean all surfaces to be covered with liquid wood. No sanding needed. Remove drawers and cabinets as well as hardware. Tape off walls and floors. 
- Apply liquid wood to all surfaces with a foam brush in long even strokes. I used Retique It Light Wood Color. Paint two coats. Wait two hours in between coats. 
- Apply stain of choice. Allow it to sit on the surface for about two minutes before wiping it off with long even strokes. I did one coat of Varat How To Refinish Wood Cabinets, Liquid Wood Paint, Wood Color Paint, Retique It Liquid Wood, Kona Stain, Orange Cabinets, Retique It, Liquid Wood, Furniture Transformation
