Romans 12:9-10 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” I memorized this verse because it is taped above my kitchen sink & I see it every time I do dishes. Now when I see a full sink I think about what it looks like to honor the people around us…all my life it used to be a very different thought. Meaning of Romans 12:12

In this verse, the apostle Paul encouraged Christians in Rome to do three things that would help them to stay faithful despite persecution and other difficulties.

“Rejoice in the hope.” Christians have the marvelous hope of everlasting life—some in heaven and most on a paradise earth. (Psalm 37:29; John 3:16; Revelation 14:1-4; 21:3, 4) This hope includes seeing God’s Kingdom resolve all the problems that plague mankind.
