Excellent germination on this year's Helichrysum, all from seed saved from the flower field at the end of last summer. I made sure I saved seed from my favourite coloured flowers, and I can't wait to see if they come true or throw up any interesting variations. I have some Strawflower garlands available, these were very popular at last years markets, message me if you would like one. Available in shades of pink or orange - £10 (approximately 2 metres in length). #helichrysum #strawflower #e... Sylvie { farmer ⋆ florist } on Instagram: "Ever wondered the difference between pinching strawflower vs not? I tried both this season & here are my thoughts! Un-pinched strawflowers grow a small cluster of flowers, perfect t if you want to add an edge to bouquets. Pinched strawflower are more likely to have a single bloom on a stem. The odd stem grows a main flower with tiny buds on the side. They’re a more softer subtle look in bouquets. Stems also vary in length, some are nice and tall but other lack. Would I pinch again? I would likely do the same as this season and pinch some but not others! I found it helps stagger the blooming times as well which is perfect. Do you pinch your strawflowers at all? #flowerfarm #cutflowerfarm #farmerflorist #florals #floraldesign #und Strawflower Bouquet, Farmer Florist, Cut Flower Farm, Garden Tips, Flower Farm, My Thoughts, Something Beautiful, Cottage Garden, Gardening Tips
