TCM Zang-fu theory explains physiological function, pathological changes; mutual relationships of every organ. They are not only anatomical substances, but more importantly represent generalization of physiology & pathology of certain systems of the human body. -5 Zang: heart (including pericardium), lung, spleen, liver; kidney. -6 Fu: gall bladder, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, urinary bladder; san jiao (three areas of body cavity).
