It is a beautiful, flattering true red, leans slightly cool liquid lipstick. Very pigmented and it has a matte finish. You can apply lots to make a bold and dramatic look, or a blot for a more stained, worn-in look. You will have too much product on the applicator right off the bat and it’s hard to apply precisely, so be careful. PRO TIP: Use a lip brush for more precise application on the edges. My lips started to get too dry after an hour so, I applied lip gloss over them. It transfers easily, prone to a little smudging but lasts through meals. The edge of my lip line begins to feather after 4 hours. My stance is It’s nice to have, but it’s not a necessary lipstick in my collection. I could do without it.
