Heya, I think you'd be interested in other games from this genre. It doesn't seem to have a name but you might be able to find  more if you look for "Qix likes" as that was the first credited  game of its type. While I was looking this up I found out there's  actually some on itch if you'd like to check them out. I grew up  with JezzBall on my PC so it was nice seeing a familiar face in there after all these years lol

Otherwise, yeah the dev likes the Panic games that had you cut out pieces of a picture to see what's underneath while racing against a timer. Those games are fun for a different reason than you might be interested in :p

I think it's a pretty cool idea. I think what you're thinking of is turning it into a CLI/DOS sort of game or something, correct? At least, that's what I think of when you mean games that old. Something very old like Nethack/ADOM. I have a pretty bad attention span so I don't know if I'll run with this learning opportunity, but I like the idea.  Gonna toss it on the study list.

It's been quite a while since you guys released anything. Are you working on anything new? If not, I'd love to know where I can follow the artist, their art is super cute.
