Armin and Rene played this scene with perfection.
And Avery watching on like ‘this little spanner in their weird little hate/love relationship is going to add to some really weird sex between them later and I find that hilarious. Mostly because Jadzia is going to know all about it later.’
I’ve always loved this scene so much, specifically for the verification of Odo’s weird grudging respect and fondess for Quark that’s so utterly incorporated into their dynamic. “Did I ever mention you are a magnifient scoundrel?” He said the quiet part out loud. He said the quiet part out loud, with glee, to get under Quark’s skin. Still makes me giddy.
No one has pointed this out so I feel obligated, he pulls Quark into the kiss by his ears which is the equivalent of grabbing him by his erect penis and pulling him into a hug.
