Art deco signet ring

An Art Deco sterling and gold front step side signet ring from the 1920s. This size 5-1/2 ring has a central 9/16 x 5/16" overlay gold front with a Gothic letter (an E or F, we think) with a corner hand engraved embellishment. The flanks are engraved gold as well and the mount has stepped sides. It is marked STERLING with faint signs of other marks which have been lost due to resizing in the past.
