It's January and here in Maine it is so cold and desolate....but I remember the spring and how the Lupines and I lifted our faces to the warm sun, something to dream about and to hope for....This is a 5"x7" original acrylic painted on gessoboard. This week our first graders began their impressions of lupines. I saw a similar lesson for kindergarteners posted awhile ago on Artsonia here. For the first time in many years, I joined some friends to plein air paint this summer. We scheduled the sessions for Monday mornings and took turns choosing the sites. It was a great experience.
