Hopefully Clark will have the hang of things quickly while he's still excited about stickers (like big sis) before we have to add a toy bribe to step up the incentive (like big bro.) We implemented a technique called elimination communication (EC) which is the easiest and first step to potty train but this is not potty training itself. Babies instinctively hate to poop on themselves. Babies can communicate with their sounds and actions that they want to go. We have to closely watch out for these specific cues and the timing. When we notice the signs, all we need to do is encourage the baby to go. This can be as simple as telling a magic word, example “pushhh”.
