Three years later and it’s the one thing I DON’T sell. 😂 I’ve learned that your business will take you in all kinds of directions…just be open to changing your original plans and look for the signs. For me, I switched to cake slices instead of custom cakes for several reasons: 1. I needed to start earning income right away and making a name for myself in the custom cake world was going to take time. 2. The price point in my area for custom cakes wasn’t super high and I wasn’t in demand since I didn’t have a customer base…so charging appropriately was difficult. 3. Custom cakes are stressful!
