Steam bent wood Table Lamp, hand made in our studios, from high quality oak, with an amber LED screw bulb. The spiral lamp has been made using traditional steam bending techniques. Three pieces of oak have been steam bent into an upward spiral and mounted on a solid oak block. Illuminated by a 4w LED E27 Amber soft glow bulb with a spiral element, mounted into a bronze effect bulb fitting, the power cable is an antique look twist cable with with a 240v 3 pin plug and inline switch. I do none of the above! 🙅🏻‍♀️ My cheat sheet for bending wood is simply by going to a lovely speciality lumber yard and asking for “bendy wood” or “Wiggle wood” The name may vary depending on your region! But it’s thick enough for tough jobs and Bend’s enough for intricate ones. Occasionally, a little water for a few minutes helps it to really make a tighter radius! Its been a lifesaver to me.
