Actually mentioning the paper stats reminds me of something I read. It was an article to do with why cottage core became so popular or something of the like. And one person’s quote struck me so hard that h can’t recall anything about the article except for their sentiment
They were attracted to gardening/cottage core because they worked a desk job. They had nothing tangible after an eight hour shift.
This is just so fascinating because as someone with hobbies that have always been productive (in the sense of producing something that’s it. I definitely made a lot of trash) and now I work in a kitchen so I see the fruits of my labor constantly.
The point of this post is this:
Please find something you enjoy that creates something. Whether it’s an object or an image or you can record yourself doing it, find something that you can hold and say “I did this” it will make your life better. Not all the way better but better than maybe it is right now.
My favorite moments at my job are when I can sit and look at rows of things I have crafted and I know that without me there would not exist. I had to exist for these to exist.
I understand the paper star girl now for sure
When your car gets towed but you actually don’t have to have a meltdown about it bc your partner says he will take care of things and then he actually fucking does it
Got accidentally locked out but got brought home a strawberry matcha drink and I said I wished I would have remembered to ask him to get me a mangonada on the way home and he’s out to get one right now 😭🥺
Ima need every tiktoker that bullied Betty mcknit for her six day star blanket pattern not being “accessible” to write her a five page apology and show an understanding of how the fiber arts community functions before posting again
