Patrick Burley
I am a doctoral researcher working in the fields of late modernism and experimental fiction at the University of Oxford. My thesis examines the postwar British experimental novel through the socio-cultural transformations of the long nineteen sixties (c.1958-c.1973), with particular focus on the works of Christine Brooke-Rose, Ann Quin, B.S. Johnson and J.G. Ballard. My research is supported by the AHRC, in conjunction with the University College Senior Studentship.
