It’s Monday, and I’ve got something special for you goons. Available today at the click of a mouse/trackpad/fingertip/whatever is Italian death metal outfit Electrocution’s only full-length release, Inside the Unreal.
Lackluster production job aside, this album rips. It’s 70% OSDM of the finest order with some touches of thrash and some technical flourishes to keep things interesting. This album starts off pretty cool but gets consistently stronger as it goes on. The riffing is focused, the solos are on point, the bass is allowed to shine at points, and the drumming is actually really good - a good amount of cool fills to go along with snare hammering. These guys played a refined style of death metal that has a precise technical edge while not losing the filthiness we love abut old school death metal.
This shit is cool as fuck, listen to it or continue to be ignorant about good things.
