Another special example of the distinctive buildings built so often in the city: 46 W. 56th St., north side, east of Sixth Ave., ca. 1912. The building is still there and retains many of its features, with the added adornment of a Potbelly Sandwich Shop on the ground floor. This was the Goraud Building, named after Jackson Gouraud who bought it around 1908.
