If you are familiar with the conventional Barbell squat, the Smith machine squat should be a walk in the park.  Keep the bar in the middle of your body to avoid straining your lower back. Don’t sacrifice form for a supposed Glute stretch! Stand with your feet hip-width apart, and your toes slightly angled outward to open up your hips. First LB day consists of hamstrings/glute, 2nd LB day: Glute focused, 3rd LB day: quads/glute.
