Cardboard wardrobe

The NOCKEBY sofa cardboard used for something else. The result is a good size cardboard cupboard much sturdier and actually a bit heavier than I thought.

The following photos will show my progression from the cardboard boxes I moved with to a stylish new dresser for my new home. I started with sturdy boxes from the meat department. I only used clean ones. No sense in having a smelly dresser. Then I reinforced the boxes with cardboard chunks. Most of the drawers are three layers thick. Organizing: What do you do with a a new 18" doll's clothes? This Closet/wardrobe made from corrugated cardboard boxes will work great with 18" dolls such as American Girl, My Life, and many others including Barbie. Cost = about $3.00! It has so many cute ideas and I will share them with you over the next few weeks. I wanted to start with the doll closet project only because in a previous post for my handmade dollhouse - I showed how I made a closet for my 12" dolls using - YES another USPS box! I suggest using wrapping paper, wall paper, scrapbook paper or contact paper to decorate your doll closet. Only because I found that paint can cause warping. Good luck! Next project - hangers!
