I cased a card from Stampin' Up! using the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, my card is not an actual match as I changed the decoration. For my card today I used: Forest Path 94702 Layered Birds 94684 and the Sweet Christmas stamp set CL5283 Here's a closer look at my card: To make my card I started by cutting the Forest Path die from some white card stock and then I colored the trees with alcohol markers. Masculine Birthday card: I have been going to make this wood slat card and finally getting to it! I started with the black cardstock for the base then I used several strips of wood like paper and one strip along the side where I tied a brown ribbon. I stamped and cut out the greeting and popped that up with dimensionals. To finish I did an inside message. Great card for husband, friend, brother, partner etc.

I absolutely fell in love with today's technique challenge. I can't wait to try different folders and stencils. I used the M. Box gracious leaves emb. folder, the debossed side, made the woodgrain lines, rubbed on baja breeze ink, then soft suede. The sentiment was stamped with early espresso and the panel placed on a baja breeze card base. This will be perfect for a masculine birthday card I need for one of our September birthdays.
