DON’T put a potty pad in your pups crate “incase they need to go.” Teach them to go potty outside.   DO teach them the crate is a clean space where they eat and sleep to prevent potty accidents. Feed your pup all of their meals in the crate to help build this association.   2. DON’T talk to or let your pup out of the crate when they are barking & whining. They WILL learn this gets them what they want…and they will use it to their advantage.   DO wait until they are showing you they can be calm and relaxed before releasing them.
